I will be sharing some tips and ideas around sales for people working in business who don’t have SALES in their job title, to sell successfully without appearing pushy or aggressive.
The ideas allow a simple conversation around your product or service that if used as part of your initial discussion, will allow you to write more business. It can also be used in your written proposals, making them more effective.
Andrew Colwell, Sunflower Windows
Andrew started selling from his school days, back then it was undercutting the school stationery prices to pupils. Then he went on to sell cars, motorcycles, leather jackets, houses, water coolers, vending machines, telecoms and double glazing.
As an estate agent, Andrew won many awards including salesman of the year for the South of England for a national chain of agents.
Whilst in telecoms, He took a struggling business from 4 employees and a turnover of £1 million to 30 employees and a turnover of £12 million
After starting his own business in telecoms in late 1999, Andrew build up a successful business bringing in significant residual income. This lead him to have spare time on his hands so he decided to help a friend who owned a double glazing business. Andrew quickly bought on board extra sales of £0.5 million per annum part time.
Andrew now runs Sunflower Windows and works with other companies acting as a consultant to help improve sales.
