The Three-ish Questions of Leadership
Leadership is a vast, complex and ever-changing subject that is studied, argued about and, above all, practiced the world over. And there is the key: it is a practical issue, faced by anyone in any organisation: how can I be a better leader?
So what could you learn in 15 minutes that could help you in this? One way is to ask the right questions and in this talk I cover what I think are the three-ish questions you need to consider. And if you want to find out what the “-ish” is, come and share your thoughts with me.
Charlie is a leadership consultant, helping people and organisations work together better. He does this because team-working and leadership are competitive advantages, perhaps the ultimate ones because they are both so powerful and so rare. He has been doing this for the last nine years, working with schools, banks and industry. Before then he completed 32 years in the Royal Navy with a varied career that included everything from diving and bomb-disposal, ship-command and Defence Attaché. He has an MA in Leadership and Management, an MSc in Coaching and Behavioural Change and is slowly starting to think that he knows what he is talking about.
